Pakistan Cricket Team sets record in 2nd ODI leaving India and Sri Lanka behind

PORT ELIZABETH: Leaving India and Sri Lanka far behind, Pakistan has become the only Asian cricket team to beat South Africa in a series at its home ground.

Though not at par in performance and ranking with its neighboring cricket super power India and fighter team Sri Lanka, yet Misbah’s team made the history after winning the second one day against South Africa.

The Proteus were unbeatable in any series at their home grounds as no Asian Team had managed to clinch the victory from their hands since 1991.

The skipper Misbah ul Haq, with his cheeks red and lips smile, says Pakistan has proved to be one of the best teams in the world.

After the victory, Misbah, who must have heaved a sigh of relief after the desparate series win, terms the last over by Junaid Khan as the decisive moment.

“The fighting spirit till the last ball is the vital in the victory,” he further said.
Junaid Khan had to defend nine runs off the final over to ensure Pakistan secured a first ever bilateral ODI series win over South Africa.

The match was reduced to 45 overs after rain with Ahmed Shahzad’s 100 gave Pakistan the solid base for
win.
